Food Resources:

The Salvation Army Food Bank (3001 R Ave.)

Open M/W 1pm-3:45

Frequency 1x a month (no appt. necessary)  Government Commodities are the 1wt Wed. of each month at 1PM

 

Anacortes 100 Food Bank (512 4th Street)

Open T/Fri – 10-2 (no limit on frequency)

Government Commodities available 1st Friday, Noon -2PM

 

St Vincent DePaul (4001 Saint Mary’s Dr.)

Open Fridays 10-11AM (no fresh foods)

Frequency: 2x month

 

Meals:

Anacortes Senior Center (1701 22nd St.)

Meals offered M-F 11:30-12:30PM by donation)

United Methodist Church (2201 H Ave.)

Spaghetti dinner – 3rd Thursday of each month 5-7PM (free)

Westminister Presbyterien Church (1300 9th St.)

Dinner at the Brick (free hot dinner)  Sunday nights 4:30-6PM (Frequency – no limit)

First Baptist Church (2717 J Ave.)

Community dinner, every Thursday night 5:30-7PM with Kids Corner with crafts and games at 6:00PM

Meals On Wheels 360-757-2545

Serving 60 years and older, call for eligibility, suggested donation $ 3 per meal. Hot meals delivered M-F, frozen meals packaged in trays that are safe to microwave or use in a regular oven.

Kids Summer Meals:

The Boys & Girls Club – Lunch 12:30 to 1:30; Snack 3:00-3:45

Cold Weather Shelter

The Salvation Army has a cold weather shelter available during cold weather months.  They are located at 3001 R Ave.  Anacortes.  Contact them for availability.

Subsidized, low incoming housing – application required – usually lengthy wait period but still a viable option to apply for.

Serving women and children first, then families.

Community Action, Housing Resource Center 360-416-7585 (330 Pacific Place, Mount Vernon)

Drop in 10-4Pm Monday, Wed, Thurs, Friday; 1-4PM Tuesdays.

Provides information and referral for people who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or looking for affordable housing.
